IBM: COP28
AI Sustainability Solutions.
"We have one of the best booths I have seen at COP"
- Jonathan Adashek, IBM's Senior Vice President Marketing and Communications and Chief Communications Officer.
COP28 brought the world together at a critical moment for global transformative climate action.
IBM wanted to present their AI Sustainability solutions to the 80,000+ attendees, including key climate stakeholders, government officials and enterprise leaders, showing how harnessing data from disparate sources can lead to actionable insights that drive decarbonisation.
The 'Data Transformer' is a two-story, twisting sculptural data installation, enhanced with real-time generative experience technologies.
Standing central to IBM's presence acting as a visual metaphor of different data inputs, the beautiful representations of data attracted attendees inviting them to change the data flow by interacting at one of the 4 'Creation Stations'.
Browsing and transforming datasets by feeding them into the Data Transformer - interactions contributed to the output of responsive LEDs, a live visualisation of human and digital interaction.
The interactive lighting also served as cues to IBM SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to drive conversations after visitors were finished exploring the datasets and content pieces on the Creation Stations.
Each interaction on the stations were further visualised and catalogued on the rear 'Data Wall', which drew visitors in from afar with a beautiful representation of which topics were of most interest throughout the Data Transformer's time at COP28.
Also on-stand an interactive digital twin of the Data Transformer allowed visitors to explore detailed visualisations of the stand itself and book sessions with IBM experts.
